Southern
Israel: Tamar Canyon: a short,
beautiful hiking trail in a majestic canyon containing a 20-meter
cliff (with an adjacent ladder). Recommended season: all
year.
Rachaf Canyon: a beautiful
canyon in the South Judean Desert that features two trails. The long
trail boasts nine 28-meter cliffs for rappelling. In addition, there
are water pools for some light swimming. Recommended season: May -
August.
Tamarim Canyon: a canyon
with more than four 50-meter cliffs. Recommended season: all year
except when flood warnings are issued.
Tur: a canyon in the Judean Desert with more
than three 70-meter cliffs; advised for those with previous
rappelling experience. Recommended season: all year except when
flood warnings are issued.
Chatzatzon
Canyon: one of the many beautiful canyonsin the Judean
Desert, this trail is recommended for more athletic individualsand
experienced rappellers.
Qumeran
Canyon: located next to the Cult of Isis historical site, the
trail is easily accessible and includes four 32-meter cliffs.
Recommended season: all year except when flood warnings are
issued.
Central Israel: Luzit
Caves: rappelling by the Pa'umon Caves is given in
conjunction with cave exploration in the area where Bar Kochba once
hid. Average height: 25 meters.
Northern
Israel: Kashat Caves: includes
fascinating rappels from the Selah Bridge with amazing views of the
Upper Galilee; rappels are 82 meters high. Recommended season: all
year except when flood warnings are issued.
The Black Canyon: hiking and rappelling through
water inside an extraordinary canyon formed of volcanic rock.
Contains two 20-meter waterfalls for rappelling or, optionally, for
a zip-line from the second waterfall.
Yehudia Canyon: features a 30-meter high rappel
into water. Later, you can continue into the more challenging Nachal
Yehudia trail.
All-terrain vehicle trips
(Jeeping):
All-terrain
vehicle trips are given throughout the year and can be customized in
order to create the optimum experience. Two trails are recommended
for families with a wide range of ages. Call to create a customized
experience that suits you.
Judean
Plain: the trail includes visiting the forests around
Jerusalem, taking a dip in the springs of the Judean Mountains,
rappelling in the Luzit Caves, and exploring the caves where Bar
Kochba once hid. In addition, the trail contains historical sites
dating back to the Biblical Period. Duration: one day.
Piratzim Canyon: traveling in the Judean Desert
combined with rappelling in the Mashash Canyon, swimming in the Dead
Sea (separate beaches available), and all-terrain vehicle trips in
the incredible Piratzim Canyon. |
